Hongi Hika Walk
Overview
Take a 1 kilometre track through gum trees and regenerating native forest to the Kororipo Pa. The pa served as Hongi Hika’s coastal fortified settlement and played an important role in New Zealand’s musket war campaigns. Hongi Hika Walk is a walking track and is approximately 1 kilometre each way and at a comfortable pace can be completed in 30 minutes each way.
