Our relaxing kiwi getaway is located less than an hour north of Auckland opposite Ascensions Vineyard on Matakana Rd. Luxury furnishings and laid back country living blend to create a truly enjoyable experience for our guests. Ideally suited for one to eight guests, choose between ‘The Tui Room’ which sleeps two in luxury with its’ own private ensuite, or ‘The Bach’ with two bedrooms, open plan kitchen and lounge with private deck. Whether you are getting away for a relaxing weekend, enroute to the Bay of Islands or attending one of the many events held in the region, we personally invite you to come and experience our traditional kiwi hospitality at Jack Boots.

We can combine both 'The Tui Room' and 'The Bach' to create a self-contained option which sleeps up to 8 guests.

Breakfast

Matakana ‘styled’ continental breakfast. A generous continental breakfast is provided with a focus on locally made and seasonally grown produce. Where local produce is not available homemade muesli competes with a selection of the old favourites in the cereal department, muffins or croissants are delivered warm to your door depending on the preference of the local chef, and fresh juice adds a bit of zing to the morning. Naturally we will cater to any personal dietary requirements, and for guests staying at ‘The Bach’ please ask about our Country Farm breakfast additions; free range eggs from our farm, mushrooms or tomatoes from the local farmers when in season and bacon from the town butcher. Please note that there is an unprotected pond and boundary streams on our property. Special care is needed especially if you have young children.
